Moonlight Mountain Biking

My friend Jeff is as passionate as they come about night time mountain biking. His enthusiasm is contagious and I've enjoyed tagging along on a few of his night rides. Seeing the same trails in a whole new (lack of) light and enjoying the setting sun and rising moon made last Friday's long ride a fun one. All pictures are by Jeff:

Spring Biking

The weather turned gorgeous and bluebird on Sunday and the trails are drying out, so I jumped in on a fun group ride with some neighbors. Got to try out my new lens, too.

Daybreak

I think having a morning paper route for years as a kid cemented a love-hate relationship between me and morning time. Ever since I've quit that job I've enjoyed sleeping in. But at the same time when I'm outside early in the morning it's one of my favorite parts of the day.

Listening to a North Mississippi Allstars CD I bought this weekend inspired me to set my recent early morning pictures to this song:
