Oh Canada

The family spent a week in Banff, Alberta, dodging raindrops, soaking in the majestic scenery and scanning for wildlife. I filled my 4 gig memory card with nearly 500 photos. Most didn't make the cut, but sorting through the rest for a blog post has still be daunting. Anyway, here's a more or less random sampling of the photo evidence.

The classic Lake Louise:

Hiking the Athabasca Glacier:

Weather pours up the valley:

The roar of Lower Johnston Falls:

M and I found all the things we needed to make a doll on the way:

We spotted a few of these guys along the Icefields Parkway. Tried our darnedest to catch a glimpse of their shyer and more exciting cousins, but no such luck.

The whole crew:

And a couple of the kiddos:

Z at the Lake Louise Ski Area:

Great trip to a place I could spend a lot more time in.
