Apparently, with the proper motivation (all the candy they can eat, in this case) my kids can ride their 16-inch-wheeled bikes more than 16 miles. Whodathunkit?

Big Summer Day -- Part 2

After a morning of sailing the kids and I packed up for a picnic at the top of the nations highest continuously paved highway.

We took more than a few stops along the way to enjoy the views...

Big Summer Day -- Part 1

We got the chance to go sail a Sunfish on Saturday. More fun and harder than it looks. I could wax poetic about the joys of sailing, but I couldn't come even remotely close to the description given in the "learn to sail" leftlet shown below and published in (wait for it, here it comes, you guessed it) 1976.
Now there is a lot going on in this picture. This whole post could be about this picture. But it isn't. I'll just say I'm pretty sure that dude isn't sighting off of a fixed object somewhere on the shore. :)
